Where to get a fever reduction shot for adults

Fever-reducing injections are generally more intramuscular, simple and convenient to operate, and the commonly used injection site is the upper limbs or buttocks where the muscles are plentiful. If an adult has a high fever of more than 38.5℃, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a fever reducing injection in a timely manner. The fever reducing injection is more clinically used is compound aminobarbital, aminopyrine or Anacin injection, etc., which has obvious fever reducing effect. If adults with fever do not have a high temperature and are not in a hurry to use drugs or antipyretic injection treatment, the following physical methods can be taken to assist in cooling the fever: 1. Drink more water: If adults have a low fever, they can reduce the fever by drinking more water, which can promote the body’s metabolism and take away the excess heat in the body by urinating; 2. Wipe with warm water: Patients should take off during the fever without the cold wind blowing directly. The patient should take off too many clothes during the fever, without the cold wind blowing directly, to help dissipate heat, or use a towel dipped in warm water to wipe the patient’s forehead, armpits, palms and other parts of the body, through the evaporation of body surface moisture to assist in cooling. If an adult has a fever of more than 38.5°C and the fever persists even after using physical methods of fever reduction, he or she should seek medical attention promptly, and after examination by a doctor to clarify the cause, use oral antipyretics or fever-reducing injections for targeted treatment.
