IVF Tips

IVF is the common name for in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, which simply means that the wife’s eggs and the husband’s sperm are fertilized outside the body, and the embryo is transferred back to the wife’s uterus after it is formed. The egg is the wife’s and the sperm is the husband’s, but the fertilization process is done outside the body, commonly known as “test tube”, and the embryo is placed back into the wife’s uterus to continue development, so the child born is a joint venture between the husband and wife. The whole process includes the following steps: of course, there are a series of procedures before egg retrieval, including the couple providing the “three certificates” (couple’s ID card, marriage certificate and birth certificate issued by the family planning department or a certificate of not having children), signing an informed consent form, completing relevant tests, setting up a protocol, promoting ovulation and so on. If the standard luteal phase protocol is used, the whole process from regulation to egg retrieval can take up to 1 month.
