Daily life precautions for patients with mixed connective tissue disease

  Mixed connective tissue disease is a chronic disease that can recur. Therefore, careful care is still needed after effective treatment.  These patients should pay attention to the following aspects in daily life: 1, prohibit drugs that may trigger the disease (such as penicillin amide, sulfonamides, contraceptives, etc.); 2, avoid overexertion, avoid ultraviolet light and sunlight exposure, bed rest during the disease activity, remission period appropriate activities; 3, pay attention to warmth, to prevent respiratory tract infections (because the disease requires long-term use of glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants, so the patient resistance is poor 4, long-term use of antimalarial drugs (such as chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine sulfate), may cause retinal changes, should be regularly checked the fundus (such as every 6 months); 5, strengthen nutrition, eat high protein, high calorie, high vitamin, low salt, low fat diet, with nephrotic syndrome (may have hypoproteinemia) can be a small amount of regular plasma supplementation; 6, combined with heart damage, should pay close attention to heart rate 7. closely observe the side effects of glucocorticoids, control the diet appropriately, and identify whether the sudden appearance of psychiatric symptoms is related to glucocorticoids; 8. pay attention to the toxic side effects of immunosuppressive drugs, and regularly review the blood routine and liver function; 9. take good care of the oral cavity and respiratory tract to prevent bacterial and fungal infections; 10. seriously ill patients (especially with pulmonary hypertension and/or severe interstitial fibrosis) 10. Severely ill patients (especially those with pulmonary hypertension and/or severe interstitial lung fibrosis, severe pulmonary infection, cardiac insufficiency) should be prepared for all kinds of emergencies.
