How to see the severity of pancreatitis ct

CT manifestations of pancreatitis are enlargement and hardening of the pancreas, interstitial congestion and edema and inflammatory cell infiltration, and acute peripancreatic effusion around the pancreas.CT shows that the severity of pancreatitis is classified into five grades, which are ABCDE. 1. mild pancreatitis: including ABC three levels. grade A pancreatic morphology is normal; grade B pancreatic edema, pancreatic volume changes; grade C pancreatic in addition to edema, peripancreatic exudate, but there is no obvious peripancreatic effusion. 2. Severe pancreatitis: including two grades of DE. Grade D is peripancreatic edema with obvious exudation, accompanied by a single peripancreatic effusion; Grade E pancreas undergoes intense swelling, accompanied by pancreatic hypodense foci. The pancreas is necrotic with multiple peripancreatic fluid accumulations. If CT demonstrates pancreatitis, immediate medical attention is needed to avoid exacerbation of the condition.
