  People often ask, “Why do I have large alveoli in my lungs?  The answer is as follows: 1, pulmonary alveoli: smokers large alveoli often originate at the lung apices, initially seen bilaterally next to the upper mediastinum, and later expand downward.  2, large alveolar body: the cause is unknown, a single large pulmonary alveoli, more common in women.  3, emphysema: diffuse distribution of large pulmonary alveoli in both lungs, affecting the function of the lungs, and obvious shortness of breath on stairs.  4.Cancerous alveoli: large alveoli with wall nodules of different sizes and thicknesses, common in males, mostly squamous carcinoma.  5.Multiple large alveoli: repeated episodes of pneumothorax, often seen in thin young men.
