Why is Candida vaginitis prone to recurrence?

Candida vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), is often called mycosis vaginalis, the main pathogen is Candida albicans, about 75% of women experience VVC at least once in their lives, 40% to 50% of women will experience multiple attacks of the disease in their lives, and a few of them (about less than 10%) develop recurrent VVC (RVVC). The main symptoms are external itching and increased leucorrhea: 1. 80%-90% of the pathogens are Candida albicans, 10%-20% are Candida smooth, Candida near smooth and Candida tropicalis. Candida albicans has budding phase and mycelium phase, mycelium for the pathogenic state, strong ability to invade the tissue 2, Candida characteristics Not strong resistance to heat, heating to 60 ℃ 1 hour is dead; but to dry, sunlight, ultraviolet light, chemical reagents resistance. Candida albicans is a conditional pathogen, about 10% of non-pregnant women and 30% of pregnant women have this bacteria in the vagina, but the amount of bacteria is very small, in the form of spores, and does not cause symptoms. Only when the immunity of the whole body and vagina decreases, especially the local immunity, Candida albicans multiplies and turns into mycelial phase, and vaginitis symptoms appear. Common predisposing factors are pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, heavy application of immunosuppressive agents, and use of broad-spectrum antimicrobials.
