Precautions after filling

  (1) Within a few days to a few weeks after filling, slight hot and cold sensitivity or bite, discomfort symptoms are normal reactions and can generally be relieved by themselves. (2) After filling, avoid eating too hot, too cold or hard food to prevent stimulating the pulp and filling from falling off. (3) If the sensitivity symptom does not improve for a long time or the pain is aggravated after the filling, it is necessary to contact for follow-up consultation in time, and root canal treatment (extraction of tooth nerve) may be needed to continue the treatment. (4) If the caries of the tooth is large or the location of the caries is not good so that the filling is difficult to be fixed, inlay, veneer, full crown, pile crown and other restorations are needed. (5) After filling, please follow the doctor’s instruction and keep good oral hygiene habit and regular examination to prevent the formation of new caries.
