The process of clearing tonsil stones

If tonsil stones cannot be removed through repeated gargling by the patient himself, it is clinically recommended to go to a hospital for cleaning by a doctor. Generally speaking, the process is roughly like this: the doctor can use a suction device or small tweezers to peel the tonsil stones out of the crypt, which is more suitable for tonsil stones that are exposed and not particularly large. If the tonsil stones are relatively large or buried deeper, local mucosal anesthesia can be used to remove the stones by using a small blade to cut the mucosa appropriately. This procedure must be done to avoid stones falling into the trachea and forming a foreign body in the trachea. In individual patients, if the stones cannot be treated by this method, the tonsils can be surgically removed to cure the tonsil stones.
