Tonsil stones location

Tonsil stones are located in the tonsils, mostly in the crypt, and are yellowish in color and hard to the touch. These stones can block the glandular ducts and cause inflammation in the tonsil crypt. The presence of tonsil stones can lead to recurrent inflammation of the tonsils and can cause peri-tonsillitis and abscesses. Therefore, for tonsil stones, complete removal of the tonsils, including of course tonsil stones, is usually required clinically. By removing the conditions for the presence of bacteria, inflammation and foreign body sensation in the pharynx will not occur. At present, tonsillectomy is usually performed by plasma tonsil ablation, which is minimally invasive and has the advantages of less damage, less bleeding and faster recovery. Therefore, tonsil stones need to be surgically removed for the purpose of eradication.
