Gallbladder polyps are mostly benign polyps, but there is also the possibility of malignancy; gallbladder polyps can be single or multiple. In the case of benign polyps, the development of the disease can usually be inhibited by medication, followed by slow recovery, while whether patients with gallbladder polyps undergo surgery depends on the likelihood of malignant gallbladder polyp-like lesions, and it is sometimes difficult to characterize whether patients need surgery before surgery for gallbladder polyp-like lesions. So which patients with gallbladder polyps must do surgery? 1, the general single lesion, greater than 10mm, thick tip of the gallbladder polyp patients should receive surgical treatment. Especially, the growth site of polyps is located in the neck of gallbladder, and patients older than 50 years old should choose gallbladder surgery. 3. Patients do Doppler ultrasound to examine the lesion, and the examination shows a rich blood supply suggesting a malignant neoplasm. This is when the patient needs to undergo surgery. 4.Patients who have CEA, i.e. tumor marker, and whose measured value is significantly elevated need surgery (except for those with other gastrointestinal tumors). 5.Gallbladder polyp-like lesions with obvious symptoms and recurrence need to be operated.
