How soon can you live a normal life after femoral head replacement

How long it takes to live a normal life after femoral head replacement cannot be generalized, but is mostly related to the type of femoral head replacement and the patient’s own recovery. Currently there are two main types of femoral head replacements, including total hip replacement and hemi hip replacement. Generally speaking, most patients in good health can get out of bed within 2-3 days after surgery. However, if the patient is in poor health, combined with underlying diseases, or takes total hip replacement, it is recommended to rest for 1-2 weeks after surgery and increase limb activities in bed appropriately to avoid lower limb venous thrombosis. However, it should be noted that in either case, the patient should undergo relevant X-ray examination before getting out of bed to determine whether the position of the artificial joint is normal. After getting out of bed, most patients can live a normal life after 1-2 months of exercise. In addition, after femoral head replacement, the patient must be guided by a physician before getting out of bed, and must be assisted by a walker when starting to move out of bed. If you experience any discomfort before returning to normal life, you should seek medical attention.
