Fatty liver, short for fatty liver disease, can be treated by dietary adjustments such as limiting sugar, aerobic exercise such as swimming, choosing drugs such as orlistat and surgery.
1. Dietary adjustments: control dietary calorie intake appropriately; adjust dietary structure, recommend a balanced diet with moderate fat and carbohydrates, and limit the intake of sugary drinks, pastries, alcohol and other foods.
2. Aerobic exercise: more aerobic exercise such as swimming, jogging, yoga, etc., avoiding bad habits such as sedentary behavior, which can help reduce the body mass index and improve nausea, fatigue and other symptoms caused by fatty liver disease.
3.Medication:
(1) Orlistat: Adults with a body mass index ≥30kg/m² and adults with a body mass index ≥27kg/m² with comorbidities such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia can be considered for the application of drugs such as orlistat.
(2) Beta drugs: such as fenofibrate and benzapenta, etc., are suitable for patients with serum triglycerides >5.6mmol/L, but need to be wary of their hepatotoxicity.
4. Surgical treatment: weight loss surgery can be chosen for simple fatty liver, and liver transplantation can be considered if fatty liver develops into cirrhosis or liver cancer.
Patients with fatty liver disease are recommended to seek timely medical treatment to clarify the diagnosis and carry out targeted treatment. In addition, all of the above drugs should be used under the guidance of doctors and should not be used without authorization.
