How to determine clubfoot in children

Children’s hallux valgus is mainly based on the physical examination of the foot, imaging examination, etc. to make a comprehensive judgment.
1. Physical examination: the appearance of children’s hallux valgus is characterized by adduction of the forefoot, heel bone exostosis, difficulty in striding, limping on one side, and unsteady walking on both sides.
2. Imaging examination: the X-ray of hallux valgus shows that the heel axis is skewed outward, and only the medial side of the foot can land and bear weight, the medial arch tends to be sunken, accompanied by flat feet and navicular bones, and there are abnormalities in the connecting line between the midpoint of the calf, the center of the Achilles tendon and the center of the Achilles bone, and the specific conditions need to be determined by the judgment of the doctor specializing in this area.
When a child develops hallux valgus, he should go to a regular hospital and be treated under the guidance of a professional doctor. In addition, hallux valgus should be detected, diagnosed and treated as early as possible, and the earlier the easier it is to be corrected.
