What to do about tumors on the hands

Tumors on hands can be treated by close observation and surgical resection.
Close observation: When the tumor on the hand is a small benign lesion, such as lipoma, hemangioma and tendon sheath cyst, etc., this type of tumor is less harmful to human health, and if the patient doesn’t have obvious uncomfortable symptoms, he/she usually chooses to observe it closely, and doesn’t need any special treatment for the time being.
Surgical resection:
(1) If the benign tumors such as hemangioma, synovial tumor and hemangioblastoma are relatively large, and have already shown obvious discomfort or started to have adverse effects on daily life. Surgical removal of these tumors by orthopedic or plastic surgery may be considered.
(2) In the case of malignant tumors, such as squamous cell carcinoma or malignant melanoma, which are skin cancers, not only do they need to be surgically removed, but they may also need to be repaired with a flap transfer.
In the case of malignant melanoma, it is necessary to cooperate with bioimmunotherapy after surgery, such as interferon, interleukin-2, dacarbazine combined with chemotherapy.
If it is a soft tissue malignant tumor such as chondrosarcoma, timely surgical resection is needed for treatment, and attention should be paid to the protection of the fine nerves of the hand during surgery.
