Does a hot bath work after freezing?

Taking a hot bath after freezing needs to be determined according to the condition of freezing. In mild cases of freezing, where the patient is alert and the symptoms are mild, a hot bath can be taken and the body temperature can be restored quickly. In the case of moderate or severe freezing, hot baths should be prohibited. This is not recommended as the person who finds it is usually unable to determine the exact severity of the freezing stiffness. In case the body is in a state of solidification, sudden heating with such high temperatures can lead to new damage. The correct approach is to immediately wrap the patient’s entire body in a dry blanket or quilt, using an outer wrapped towel and a hot water bag at 40°C to 50°C, and apply heat to the trunk, axillae and groin area.
