How often should dyslipidaemia be rechecked?

In general, after 3 to 6 months of treatment with diet and non-lipid-regulating drugs, the lipid level should be reviewed once, and 4 to 8 weeks after the start of drug treatment, the lipid level and transaminases and CK should be reviewed once. If the target lipid level is not reached after 3-6 months of medication, the dose or type of medication or combination of medications should be adjusted and then rechecked after 4-8 weeks.
