Hemorrhoids in children are caused by poor lifestyle and dietary habits that result in dry stools. Prolonged diarrhea can also cause hemorrhoids to form and flare up. Preventing hemorrhoids can be done by getting your child into the habit of having regular bowel movements every day and avoiding distractions during bowel movements. Avoid spicy and stimulating diets, and avoid prolonged squatting.
If you already have hemorrhoids, you can warm water sitz bath, 1~2 times a day, 10 minutes each time, to improve the microcirculation around the anus, reduce the hemorrhoid flare-ups, serious cases should seek medical treatment in time. Usually you can eat more vegetables and fruits, such as apples, bananas, pears, peaches and so on.
