Traumatic asphyxia is the result of blunt force applied to the chest and upper abdomen, and is the result of a combination of external compression and one’s own physiological factors. It is commonly seen in public safety incidents such as car accidents, war, factory accidents, house collapses and stampedes. Therefore, in order to avoid traumatic asphyxia, one should try to ensure that the environment in which one lives is as safe as possible and carry out certain safety defensive measures.
