Although the pharmacological study of Leigongjiang polysaccharide has immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory effects, however, its toxic side effects are large, such as liver damage, granulocytopenia, kidney damage and reproductive system damage. After long-term application of Radix Polygonatum multi-glucoside tablets, liver function abnormalities can occur; it can lead to interstitial kidney fibrosis; leukopenia and thrombocytopenia can occur; women patients tend to have amenorrhea, and male patients can affect sperm production, manifesting as sperm reduction or azoospermia. Patients in general only know that hormones have side effects, but they don’t know that the side effects of Radix Polygoni Multi-Glucoside Tablets are even greater. I have never used tretinoin in my decades of clinical practice. Personally, I believe that “the treatment must stay in the patient”, and if side effects occur in the rush to get the effect, it is not worth the loss.
