Difference between tumor and lymphedema

The difference between lymphoma and lymphedema includes etiology, symptoms, and pathologic test results. 1.Etiology (1) Lymphoma: it includes primary tumors such as Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as well as metastatic tumors formed after metastasis of tumors such as breast cancer, cervical cancer and gastric cancer to lymph nodes. (2) Lymphedema: its causes include obstruction of lymphatic vessels and parasitic infection. 2. Symptoms (1) Lymphatic tumor: lymphatic metastasis suggests that the tumor is not in its early stage, at this time, on the one hand, there will be manifestations of the primary tumor, such as abdominal pain, acid reflux, nausea and so on in gastric cancer, and breast pain and orange-peel-like skin changes in breast cancer; on the other hand, there will be systemic manifestations such as emaciation, anemia and multiple cancer pains, etc; and lymph nodes will show the manifestations of enlarged and fused lymph nodes and so on. (2) Lymphedema: local non-sunken edema, local tingling, numbness and other manifestations. 3. Pathologic findings (1) Lymphoid tumor: the mutated cells such as mirror cells can be seen, and the destruction of the structure of lymphoid tissue and infiltration of tumor cells can be seen at the same time. (2) Lymphedema: inflammatory manifestations can be seen, but there are no specific differentiated tumor cells. If the above symptoms occur, or if you suspect lymphoma or lymphedema, it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time.
