Internal carotid and lower limb artery plaques can usually be clarified by ultrasound only, and for severe lesions, CTA can provide clear images and help determine surgical indications and develop surgical plans. For those with a high suspicion of coronary vascular plaque, coronary angiography or coronary CTA can be used to detect it. For aortic plaques, enhanced CTA can be used to detect them.
