Ptosis Surgery Treatment

Ptosis is one of the more common types of clinical conditions that can affect vision if left untreated. Surgical options vary depending on the degree of ptosis. Above is a preoperative left upper lid with moderate to severe ptosis and below is one year postoperative (blepharoplasty on the right eye and ptosis correction on the left eye). The upper image shows an extremely severe bilateral ptosis, and the lower image is one year postoperative, as this patient’s superior rectus muscle function is extremely poor and cannot be fully achieved in order to avoid postoperative corneal exposure, but has improved greatly.
