Most of the congenital heart diseases need to be corrected surgically, through which the heart is restored to its normal structure, so that the life expectancy is the same as that of a normal person. Some patients also need to take cardiotonic and diuretic drugs after surgery, such as digoxin, spironolactone, hydrochlorothiazide, etc., so as to maximize the recovery of the patient’s heart function. Regular review is also required to clarify the dosage increase or decrease according to the results of the review.
