Heart diseases that can be regulated by Chinese medicine include palpitations, chest palsy (tightness and pain in the chest) and heart pain. However, there are more types of heart diseases and their complexity makes it difficult to ensure that they can be cured.
1. Palpitations. Palpitation corresponds to tachycardia, preterm systole, atrial fibrillation, etc. There are signs of heart deficiency and timidity, signs of heart-blood deficiency, signs of yin deficiency and fire exuberance, signs of stasis of heart veins (heart veins and channels are blocked by stasis of blood), and signs of water-drinking and overrunning the heart, etc. Chinese herbal medicines for treating this disease include Zhu Sha An Shen Pill, Gui Spleen Soup, Wang Tian Tian Tian Xin Tannin, Gui Zhi Gan Cao Long Bone & Oyster Soup, Ling Gui Jiu Gan Soup, and Peach Kernel and Safflower Decoction.
2. Chest paralysis and heart pain. Corresponding diseases are angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, pericarditis, etc. There are cardiovascular blood stasis, qi stagnation cardiothoracic certificate, phlegm obstruction (phlegm and evil qi obstructing qi) certificate, cold congealed heart vein (cold evil condensation blocking heart vein) certificate, etc. The traditional Chinese medicines for treating this disease include Blood and Blood Residue Soup, Chai Hu Shuo Hepatology Dispensary, Gua Piao Scallion White and Semi-Half Summer Soup, Angelica sinensis Si-Reverse Soup, Sheng Wei Yuan Drink, Ginseng and Forsythia Soup, etc.
3. Heart failure. Heart diseases corresponding to heart failure include acute and chronic heart failure, which can be characterized by qi deficiency and blood stasis, qi and yin deficiency, and yang deficiency and water flooding (yang qi deficiency causing obstacles to the operation of water and fluids in the body), etc. Traditional Chinese medicines that can be used for treating this disease include Baoyuan Tang, Shengqin San, Zhenwu Tang, Linggui Juguan Gan Tang, and Sihui Jia Ginseng Tang, etc. The adverse effects of the above formulas have not been reported yet.
