Patients with excessive sputum can be treated with the appropriate causative and symptomatic treatment according to the diagnosis, and most of the symptoms of sputum will be relieved or disappear after timely treatment of the primary disease. For patients who have a lot of sputum or who cannot easily cough it up, the expulsion of sputum can be promoted by chest physiotherapy and medication. It is impossible to say exactly which treatment is the best.
