What to do about alveolar bone fracture

Once it is confirmed that a fracture of the alveolar bone does exist, it needs to be treated immediately. An alveolar fracture often causes loosening of one or even several teeth in the area where the fracture is located, and along with the entire fracture fragment, overall loosening can occur. When cementation is performed, the first step is to reset the fracture fragment back to its correct position and then to fix it, while the fixation can be done in a more traditional way with ligature fixation or with adhesive fixation, with the overall aim of returning the fracture fragment, which has some displacement, to its normal position and being able to maintain it. This is because after recovery, the patient inevitably needs to eat. During this process, it maintains a certain level of stability so that the fracture can gradually recover, which is a relatively simple fixation situation to achieve. If the fixation is difficult to achieve by the above means, further surgery, i.e. incision and internal fixation with titanium nails and plates, can be performed to achieve a better fixation.
