Bao’erning Granules is used to treat the symptoms of tiredness and dullness (lack of appetite and decreased food intake) caused by deficiency of spleen and lung qi, with the effects of benefiting qi and consolidating the surface and strengthening the middle and awakening the spleen. Bao’erning Granules is a proprietary Chinese medicine, which is composed of Astragalus, Chicken Neijin and Poria. It has the efficacy of benefiting Qi and consolidating the exterior, and also has the efficacy of invigorating the middle and awakening the spleen. It can be used for symptoms such as tiredness, dullness and restlessness caused by deficiency of spleen and lung qi, as well as easy to catch a cold. In the formula, Astragalus tonifies the spleen and lungs (tonifying the spleen and lungs), Atractylodes macrocephala strengthens the spleen and strengthens the uprightness of the lungs; atractylodes macrocephala is used to dispel wind evils; supplemented with Chinese yam and Poria cocos to increase the efficacy of atractylodes macrocephala, and Jin Neijin is used to strengthen the qi and not hinder the spleen. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Baoerning Granules are not clear.
