You see others handsome and beautiful, they are ugly ducks to look at; or see others to study abroad, they are not so lucky; or see others to be successful and successful career, but they are down and out, is still a small role in society, you will be sad and complain about it? Let me introduce a friend, his attitude towards life will benefit you. This person’s name is Nick Vujicic (Nick Vujicic), December 4, 1982, he was born in Melbourne, Australia, a pastor’s family. On that day, everyone was happy to welcome the firstborn child. But once he was born, the whole family was immediately plunged into a fog of sadness, a great deal of disappointment and sadness; because he was born without hands, feet and limbs, is a freak. The pastor and his wife gradually accepted the fact that he was born with no arms, legs, or feet, and raised him with love and care. As a child, Nick was despised, ostracized and bullied by his classmates at school. He knew he was different from everyone else. Because of his loneliness and low self-esteem, and because he did not want to be a burden to his parents and society for the rest of his life, he had suicidal thoughts at the age of eight. Later, he came to understand the teachings of the Bible, and at the age of twelve, he realized that all things are in the will of the Heavenly Father, and his heart was no longer bitter and hurtful, but was set free. When he read the story in John 9, “The disciples asked Jesus, ‘Rabbi, this man was born blind, who sinned? Was it this man? Was it his parents?” Jesus answered, ‘Neither this man sinned, nor his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.'” (vv. 2-3) He then surrendered his life to God, trusting in what k would do in his life. He was about fifteen years old at the time. Although Nick had no limbs, he had two foot-like toes under his torso that he could use to write, use a computer to do his homework, and so on. He uses his teeth instead of his hands, a specially fitted and fixed toothbrush and hairbrush, and an electric car to get around, and tries to live as much as possible on his own. At seventeen, he began attending church and graduated from college at twenty-one, majoring in economic planning and accounting, with the hope of becoming self-sufficient and not needing to accept charity from others. Nick is a joyful man, confident and optimistic about his future, and has no fear of death. He has witnessed to millions of people about God’s love, wisdom, and power, and hopes to continue speaking and writing books, as well as remodeling a car for personal use. He says, “You have to know what kind of person I am. Don’t look at my crippled appearance, but look at whether I have high aspirations in life, whether I have good character, and whether I adhere to moral standards.
