Do you need to do nebulization for pneumonia?

Patients with pneumonia are best treated by nebulization because the main symptoms of pneumonia are cough, sputum, chest tightness and shortness of breath. Nebulized drugs mainly use acetylcysteine, budesonide, ipratropium bromide, salbutamol, promethazine and cortisol, which can play a role in relieving airway spasm and airway hyperresponsiveness, and therefore can relieve the symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath. Acetylcysteine is a phlegmolytic drug, which can play the role of diluting phlegm and promoting phlegm discharge; salbutamol can play the role of rapid symptom relief for patients with acute attacks of chest tightness and shortness of breath. In addition to nebulization, patients with pneumonia need to be treated with antibiotics in a standardized manner, and the general course of treatment is 7-14 days.
