When a fever or suspected patient is present in the home, the following disinfection measures should be taken: 1. Home environment: fumigate peroxyacetic acid solution for 2 hours after the house is sealed, then open windows for ventilation; 2. Table (drinking) utensils: boil and disinfect for 15 minutes; or soak in chlorine-containing disinfectant for 15 minutes, followed by washing with water; 3. Household items: soak, spray or scrub with chlorine-containing disinfectant and wipe with water after 15 minutes. In addition, when skin and mucous membranes are contaminated by patient contaminants, they should be cleaned and disinfected immediately. If clothing is contaminated and no contaminants are visible to the naked eye, disinfect with circulating steam or boiling for 30 minutes, or soak in a chlorine-containing disinfectant for 30 minutes first, then wash routinely.
