Treatment for endometritis thickening includes medication and surgery. Medication is usually treated with progesterone and surgical treatment is usually with hysteroscopic surgery. If a woman does not have a history of sexual activity, progesterone therapy is usually prescribed and can lead to shedding of the endometrium and menstruation when the medication is discontinued. For women with a history of sexual intercourse, if the ultrasound suggests thickening of the endometrium, in the exclusion of pregnancy, the possibility of endometrial pathology is considered, and surgical treatment is required, after which the tissues will be sent for pathologic examination, such as hysteroscopic surgery. If endometrial thickening is indicated by ultrasound, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions to give active treatment, and it is also recommended to carry out regular medical checkups, including ultrasound examination.
