Some patients with colds and fevers can easily trigger pneumonia due to poor resistance, especially if they have chronic underlying diseases, such as chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema, chronic pulmonary heart disease, and bronchiectasis, or even bronchopulmonary cancer, and the underlying diseases are easily infected by pathogens, including viruses and bacteria, when immunity is low, causing inflammatory reaction of the upper respiratory tract mucosa. As the inflammation worsens, it can spread along the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, trachea, bronchi, and alveoli causing pneumonia, which should be treated with a combination of sensitive anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as treatment for the above-mentioned possible primary underlying chronic diseases in order to expect a cure.
