Let’s start with a question: Do you know what the clitoris looks like? Some people may answer that the clitoris is a pea-sized round tissue. But in fact, not only is the clitoris not round, it is also much larger than people think. First, what does the clitoris look like? The complete clitoris is actually more like an inverted “Y” shape, consisting of the clitoral head, the corpus cavernosum, the clitoral foot, the clitoral bulb and its associated tissues. The “pea” we see is just the top round head of the clitoris. The clitoris is about 10cm long and only the exposed clitoral head can be seen, while most of the clitoral tissues such as the corpus spongiosum, clitoral foot and clitoral bulb are hidden under the labia on both sides and cannot be seen directly with the naked eye. Under normal circumstances, the head of the clitoris is hidden under the foreskin of the clitoris, but when sexually stimulated, the clitoris will become engorged and erect like a male penis, and the head of the clitoris will be exposed. 2. Where is the clitoris? The clitoral body extends forward from under the labia minora on both sides and converges to form a cylindrical clitoral head, with a pea-sized bulbous round head exposed from the clitoral foreskin. The clitoral head has about 8,000 nerve endings, twice as many as the male penis, and the clitoral foreskin is there to protect the overly sensitive clitoris from direct contact friction. What is the use of the clitoris? The clitoris is an amazing and unique organ, it is the only human organ that is solely related to sex. It is homologous with the male penis, but unlike the male penis, which has multiple functions such as urination, ejaculation, and sexual sensation, the clitoris’ only physiological function is to stimulate female sexual desire and pleasure. The clitoris can be erected multiple times over a period of time, which means that a woman can have multiple orgasms in a short period of time. Most women are able to achieve a clitoral orgasm by stimulating the clitoral head. The more difficult to achieve vaginal orgasms are also the result of the pleasure obtained by stimulating the clitoris by pulling on the skin around the clitoris when the vagina is being penetrated. Finally, it is also hoped that we can face the clitoris squarely, lift the shyness, pay attention to hygiene, and make sure to seek medical attention without delay in case of abnormal discomfort such as pain, itching, or bleeding.
