Increased vaginal discharge during pregnancy is relatively common. If it is accompanied by uncomfortable symptoms, such as itching, burning pain, or a change in the color of the discharge, it is important to consult a doctor, who will perform a test of the discharge as appropriate, and most test results are available within 1-2 hours. Pregnant women who experience an abnormal increase in leukorrhea accompanied by a bad smell or an abnormal color of discharge at any time during the pregnancy week should consult a doctor and inform him or her to take vaginal secretions for routine laboratory tests. The examination of vaginal discharge can help to diagnose whether the pregnant woman is suffering from vaginitis or symptoms of pre-miscarriage. Different secretion test results represent different diseases. When accompanied by vaginal itching and abnormal secretion, if Trichomonas is detected in the secretion test, it is trichomoniasis; if budding spores or mycelium are detected in the secretion test, it is vulvovaginal pseudomycosis; if thin, white vaginal secretion with pH greater than 4.5 and positive amine test is detected in the secretion test, it is bacterial vaginosis. If the secretion is bloody, mostly dark red or bright red in color, the amount of secretion is less than the amount of menstruation, occasionally accompanied by vague pain in the lower abdomen or lumbar pain, and the reaction of early pregnancy still exists, then it may be a sign of pre-eclampsia. If the above conditions are found after the examination of secretions, the pregnant woman needs to be actively treated, and in the process of treatment, she should keep her vulva clean, choose cotton underwear as much as possible, change and wash her personal clothes, prohibit spicy and stimulating foods in her diet, and strengthen her nutrition to maintain a diversified diet.
