Lumbar 1 burst fracture

A few days ago, had a thoracolumbar anterior approach decompression fusion internal fixation surgery. Although I was on my feet for a few hours, I was tired and happy – the surgery was successful and the postoperative films looked good. The case is included here today. Brief description of the case: Patient, female, 46 years old, fell from a height injury with multiple fractures of the first lumbar vertebra, pelvis, and both lower extremities. She was unable to urinate on her own. This is a preoperative lumbar spine radiograph and CT film: the first lumbar vertebra was subtotal resected and decompressed by the right anterior approach under general anesthesia, and internal fixation was performed with an ipsilateral iliac bone graft fusion with an anterior nail and rod system. After the operation, the patient was awake and returned to the ward with no abnormal sensory movement of both lower limbs. He is now able to urinate on his own. This is a postoperative X-ray.
