Treatment of ground glass nodules

The abbreviation for ground glass nodules is GGO, and common management opinions: 1, GGO is small, commonly less than 2 cm in diameter, and is generally more difficult to biopsy by lung puncture, with a low positive rate. 2, thoracoscopic surgery can be wedge resection (removal of part of the lung tissue within the scope of the lesion) and lobectomy (lung lobectomy at the site of the lesion). If the pathological lesion in wedge resection is malignant, lobectomy is preferable and intrathoracic lymph node dissection is performed. 3.Thoracoscopic surgery is currently carried out in all major hospitals, but the level varies. gGO in the thoracic surgery department of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, performing thoracoscopy can completely perform wedge resection, our hospital has about 20 cases of thoracoscopic surgery every day, we have 3D thoracoscopy and single-hole thoracoscopy. 4. Generally, we recommend surgery for GGO larger than 8mm; however, long-term follow-up is also possible. The tumor multiplication time of GGO is different from that of general tumors, and some of them even remain unchanged for 2 to 3 years, so follow-up for 3 to 5 years is recommended.
