How to treat gastritis in children

The treatment of acute gastritis consists of two parts: removal of the cause and symptomatic treatment. If the cause is infection or unclean diet, anti-infection treatment should be given; if it is caused by adverse drug reaction, the drug should be stopped first; if it is caused by corrosive substances, first aid treatment should be given according to the nature of corrosive substances. Patients should rest in bed, eat clean and easily digestible liquid or semi-liquid food, suspend food for 4-6 hours if vomiting is severe, replenish water and electrolytes and prevent acid-base imbalance, give H2 receptor antagonist or proton pump inhibitor to prevent and treat gastrointestinal bleeding. Treatment of chronic gastritis (1) Remove harmful factors such as: develop good habits, reduce stress in life, and slow down mental tension; control spicy and irritating things and drugs; eradicate HP infection and prevent reinfection; control reflux with motivational drugs if there is acid or bile reflux. (2) Use gastric mucosal protective agents such as bismuth, aluminum thioglycollate, metsylline, etc. (3) Symptomatic treatment includes gastrointestinal motility drugs for abdominal distension, vomiting and reflux, and antispasmodic drugs for abdominal pain and cramps. (4) Antacids and acid suppressants are used for those who are more ill or have acid reflux.
