Heel pain should not be tolerated

In recent months, 50-year-old Ms. Wang always felt a vague pain in her heel, especially when she got up in the morning and walked for a long time. After examination, she was diagnosed with “plantar fasciitis pain”, commonly known as “heel pain”. The doctor prescribed her anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medication, along with physical therapy and local closure, and the pain was soon relieved. Heel pain is a chronic strain disease, trauma, cold may cause heel pain, sudden weight gain, long-distance walking or standing for a long time and wearing shoes that are not appropriate, can also cause heel pain. This disease is aggravated in the morning, when walking or standing, local redness is not swollen, there are also mild swelling, some patients can be seen in the foot deformity, such as flat feet, X-ray often shows accompanied by heel bone spurs. As people age, the plantar fascia begins to undergo degenerative changes and the fibrous tissue gradually loses its elasticity. When walking for a long time, the periosteum of the heel bone and the surrounding fibrous tissue are easily injured and difficult to recover, so heel pain attacks are often accompanied by rheumatic or rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc. You should go to the foot and ankle surgery or orthopedics department of a regular hospital for treatment. In most cases, conservative treatment can relieve the clinical symptoms, and patients with persistent heel pain who have failed to receive conservative treatment can also choose minimally invasive surgical treatment.
