The two best ways to prevent and treat fatty liver

In the clinic, I am often asked by patients with fatty liver: “Doctor, how long do I have to take medicine to cure my fatty liver”, “Doctor, I have been taking medicine for 2 months, but my fatty liver is still not cured”. In fact, fatty liver is a metabolic disease, in today’s era of great material abundance, over-nutrition caused by obesity is a very important cause of fatty liver, drugs only regulate the body’s lipid metabolism, play a supporting role. The fatty liver can not be good, or you do not “control mouth, open legs”. The following we look at the incidence of fatty liver and the incidence of the population. According to statistics, the prevalence of fatty liver in adults (excluding alcohol-induced fatty liver, the same below) is 20% to 33%; the prevalence of simple fatty liver in obese patients is 60% to 90%, steatohepatitis is 20% to 25%, liver cirrhosis is 2% to 8%; the prevalence of fatty liver in patients with type 2 diabetes and hyperlipidemia is 28% to 55% and 27% to 92%, respectively. It can be seen that obesity, diabetes and hyperlipidemia are the main causes of fatty liver. At present, the once “thin” Chinese people are facing the problem of rapid weight gain, especially the increasing number of the new generation of “small fat pier”. According to the first national health survey conducted in mainland China in 2004, 60 million people (4.6% of the total population) were obese, 200 million people (15%) were overweight, 20 million people (1.5%) were suffering from non-insulin-dependent diabetes, and 160 million people (12%) had hypertension. Thus, fatty liver is becoming a major new health problem for Chinese people. The risk factors for fatty liver then include those: high-fat, high-calorie dietary structure, sedentary lifestyle, metabolic syndrome and its components (obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia and diabetes). Although chronic excessive alcohol consumption and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection are strongly associated with hepatic steatosis, the global prevalence of fatty liver disease is mainly associated with the rapidly increasing prevalence of obesity. The above figures show that “excessive high-fat, high-calorie dietary structure and a sedentary lifestyle” are the main culprits of fatty liver. So how can we prevent and control it? 1, control mouth Modern people’s diet is rich, delicious food, as you wish, especially fried, barbecue, dessert is addicted to eat. Chinese medicine will be such foods called “thick taste”
The most important thing is that they are often eaten to affect the spleen and stomach transport function, leading to the accumulation of water and dampness in the body, dampness and heat, refining liquid into phlegm, dampness and heat, phlegm, blocking the veins, blood vessels, the formation of blood stasis, carbuncles and poison, and induce a variety of “rich diseases” — such as fatty liver, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hyperuricemia, etc. These are directly related to the change of diet structure nowadays. Think about the 1950s and 1970s, have you ever heard of fatty liver? How many diabetics were there? How many patients with hyperlipidemia? In terms of diet, our ancestors proposed in the Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine more than 2,000 years ago, “five grains for nourishment, five fruits for help, five animals for benefit, five dishes for filling” a rational diet and a balanced nutritional diet. Although we are now living well, rich, but should also inherit the Eastern diet, mainly cereals, supplemented by fruit, meat, eggs and fish, a reasonable diet, control their mouths, in order to eat healthy, eat nutrition, eat science. 2, open legs modern life comfort, indoor winter heating, summer air conditioning, go out by car, go to work in front of the computer, a sitting day, the brain keeps turning, but the body does not move, go home in front of the TV, sitting and lying well. Let’s see, how much activity can you have in 24 hours? No activity, excessive calorie intake, can not be consumed, will be converted into fat accumulation in the body, resulting in increased subcutaneous fat (such as obesity), increased visceral fat (such as fatty liver) and blood lipid elevation (such as hyperlipidemia), causing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders, damage to the heart, liver and kidneys, and even life-threatening. Chinese medicine believes that “lying for a long time hurts qi”, “sitting for a long time hurts meat” long time without exercise, can make the body qi and blood running slowly, the lungs lose pronunciation and purification, spleen loss of transport and transfer, the formation of phlegm and blood stasis affect the physiological activities of the body and produce too much fat. So to “open the legs”, strengthen the movement, blood circulation, accelerate the metabolism, to promote the body’s “garbage” out of the body, in order to “move and not decline”, really do fat loss.
