How to manage fatty liver after ultrasound diagnosis

Since most patients with fatty liver have no obvious symptoms, they are often found during physical examinations or when doing ultrasound due to other diseases. When ultrasound reveals fatty liver, patients should visit the hospital to clarify the following aspects: 1. 2.Clinical typing of fatty liver: After the etiology of fatty liver is clarified, clinical typing of fatty liver is needed. The clinical types are different, the severity of the disease is different, and the treatment and prognosis are also different. The clinical types of fatty liver are divided into simple fatty liver, steatohepatitis and fatty cirrhosis. Generally speaking, simple fatty liver is a benign lesion with good prognosis and does not progress to cirrhosis, while steatohepatitis can progress to cirrhosis. Therefore, patients with steatohepatitis should be checked for liver fibrosis serological indicators and should be alert to the occurrence of liver fibrosis or early cirrhosis. 3.Diagnosis of concomitant diseases: fatty liver is mostly caused by obesity, and obesity also often appears as diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, coronary heart disease, etc. These diseases are often important factors affecting the health and prognosis of fatty liver patients.
