How does myopia develop?

The refractive state of the human eye is influenced by genetic and environmental factors. The occurrence of myopia in adolescents is partly related to genetic factors, but also closely related to long-term close work. During the growth and development stage of adolescents and children, if they read, write homework, or watch TV at close range for a long time, especially when the lighting is insufficient, the reading distance is too close, the reading time is too long, the font is unclear or too small, and the sitting posture is not correct, the eyes are prone to regulation fatigue, and eventually, myopia will develop. In addition, micronutrient deficiency and nutritional disorders affect the occurrence of myopia, but are secondary factors.
