Excluding diseases such as tuberculosis and chronic pyelonephritis, there are two causes of heat in the palms of the hands in men.
Excessive Yang energy: also known as hyperactive liver yang. Men are prone to excess yang qi, which manifests itself in increased blood pressure, irritability, insomnia and being particularly anxious to do things, all of which can cause heat in the palms of the hands.
Insufficient Yin Qi: This is mainly manifested by a deficiency of Kidney Yin, which manifests itself in hot flushes, night sweats, excessive dreaming, and over time, soreness in the waist and knees and chills in the lower limbs, along with heat in the palms of the hands.
