They never dare to shake hands with people …… they are hand sweating patients. The 20-year-old young woman from Hangzhou, Fang Mou suffered from this condition for more than 15 years. Recently, the Department of Thoracic Surgery of our hospital adopted “needle thoracoscopic thoracic sympathetic neurectomy” to completely lift her years of “unspeakable secret” and help her regain confidence. Since she could remember, Fang had noticed that her hands were sweaty all year round, and when she was writing, she could wet the paper, which was very distressing. However, she had never thought of seeking treatment from a thoracic surgeon. The whole operation time is only 30 minutes and the whole hospitalization cost is about 8,000 RMB. The effect of the surgery was immediate, and the patient was discharged from the hospital the day after the surgery without a chest drain, completely free from the trouble that had been hanging over his mind for many years. However, it should be noted that “hand sweating” is divided into primary hand sweating and secondary hand sweating. For the minority of secondary hand sweating caused by tuberculosis, hyperthyroidism, endocrine diseases, psychiatric disorders, and endocrine imbalance during menopause, etc., the treatment must be directed at the cause of the disease itself, and it is not suitable to receive sympathetic nerve surgery.
