Symptoms of urticaria

The symptoms of urticaria are mainly characterized by erythematous, windy bumps accompanied by intense itching and a positive skin scratch sign. Urticaria is a vasovagal allergic disease, which in the clinic is mainly manifested as temporary limited elevated erythema on the surface of the skin, which is also called a wheal. They may appear suddenly and disappear rapidly within 24 hours without leaving any trace. The skin scratch test can be positive. Another characteristic of urticaria is intense itching. During an acute attack of urticaria, the skin becomes intensely itchy, and the more you scratch, the more itchy it becomes. Treatment of urticaria should first find out the allergens as far as possible, avoid re-exposure, and at the same time can be given some symptomatic anti-allergy anti-itch medication, such as oral loratadine tablets, topical dexamethasone cream and so on. For the recurrence of urticaria, we must go to the dermatology department of the regular hospital in time, and follow the doctor’s prescription according to the course of treatment.
