Some considerations in the treatment of hives

Hives is an allergic disease, so the most important thing in treatment is to find and remove the allergen, medication is just symptomatic. The allergens that cause the disorder can be things we often use or eat, such as flavors, colors, preservatives, etc., chemical materials, decorative materials, etc., as well as some chronic foci of infection in our body, such as chronic otitis media, gingivitis, Helicobacter pylori infection, etc. It is recommended that you keep a running account while taking antihistamines, i.e., the rash, diet, physical condition, and changes in the surrounding environment on that day, in the hope of discovering patterns and finding allergens. There are also some diseases that can have urticaria-like manifestations, such as urticarial vasculitis and subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus, but these diseases tend to have slow receding lesions, less severe itching, and possibly pain, leaving pigmentation after receding, etc. Antihistamine treatment is not effective. Therefore, if you have atypical lesion changes, you should also promptly visit a dermatologist.
