The Easiest Way to Determine a Brain Tumor

The simplest way to determine brain tumor does not exist clinically. Clinical diagnosis of brain tumor needs to be combined with patient’s symptoms, imaging examination, pathological examination and other comprehensive judgment. 1. Symptoms of patients: symptoms of brain tumor include increased intracranial pressure, abnormal neurological function, epilepsy and so on. Occupation of brain tumor may lead to increased intracranial pressure, which is mainly manifested as headache and vomiting. Neurological function abnormalities include motor, sensory, mental disorders and so on. 2. Imaging examination: imaging examination of brain tumor mainly includes CT, MRI, PET-CT, etc. CT and MRI are mainly used to determine whether there is a tumor or not and the location of the tumor, while PET-CT is mainly used to determine the degree of malignancy of the tumor. 3. Pathological examination: the patient’s symptoms and the results of imaging examination are the important diagnostic basis of brain tumor, and the final diagnosis depends on the results of pathological examination, which mainly includes intraoperative rapid frozen section and postoperative routine pathological examination. Intraoperative rapid frozen section is mainly used for rapid diagnosis during surgery, which is convenient for doctors to judge the scope of surgery. Postoperative routine pathology examination is slower in diagnosis but more accurate, which can characterize and grade the tumor. It is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals to be judged by professional doctors and avoid self-judgment.
