Lumbar spondylolisthesis has different treatments for different conditions, which can be broadly categorized into conservative and surgical treatments. There is no such thing as the best way. For patients with mild symptoms or less severe spondylolisthesis, conservative treatments can be taken first, including rest, pelvic traction, wearing a lumbar spacer, and the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. Some patients will experience symptomatic relief with conservative treatment. For obvious symptoms, severe intolerable pain in the lower back and legs, or more than II degrees of obvious slippage, surgical treatment should be considered, according to the condition of the spinal canal decompression, slippage of the vertebral body reset, internal fixation or implant fusion and other operations, to relieve the nerve compression, to restore the stability of the spinal column, in order to maximize relief of the patient’s symptoms. Patients suffering from lumbar spondylolisthesis are advised to go to the hospital as soon as possible, and ask the professional doctor to evaluate the severity of the condition and then choose the most appropriate treatment.
