A three-stage treatment for chondromalacia patellae

  Patellar chondromalacia is a common clinical condition with multiple morbidities that plagues many patients. Its three-stage standardized treatment regimen is introduced: Phase I (1-3 weeks) Decrease activity (walking less) Oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Furtalin extended-release tablets 75 mg qd, or Cilobal 0.2 bid, for 20 days.  Phase 2 (4-8 weeks) Decrease in activity (walking are less) Aminoglucosamine sulfate 0.5 po tid, two tablets three times a day. For a total of 5 weeks.  Phase 3 (after 8 weeks) Muscle strength exercises (see method of static squat exercises)
