The Collection of Clinical Thinking and Discernment in Chinese Medicine

Abstract This book is a record of the author’s consultations under the supervision of Professor Zhang Bingxiu, a famous national veteran Chinese medicine practitioner. The book consists of 7 sections: “Academic Review”, “Recipe Recapitulation”, “Clinical Treatment Experience”, “Miscellaneous Diseases”, “Ancient Prescriptions Exploration”, “Treatment Method Explanation”, and “Diagnostic Remarks”. The book is composed of seven parts: “Academic Review”, “Recipe Recapitulation”, “Clinical Experience”, “Miscellaneous Diseases”, “Ancient Prescriptions”, “Treatment Method Explanation”, and “Diagnosis Reminiscence”. Each chapter seems to be a self-contained system, but the whole book is integrated, thus objectively and fairly displaying the essence of Zhang’s clinical evidence and the main thrust of his scholarship. In the method of writing, we do not stick to the uniformity of the style, but take the actual information obtained from the “consultation” as the starting point, so as to “scatter the form but not scatter the spirit”. The whole book contains the experienced prescriptions, effective treatment rules and methods, as well as unique “masterpieces” of Zhang Bingxiu’s more than 40 years of practice. At the same time, it includes thoughts and suggestions on the cause of Chinese medicine. This book has a certain guidance and reference value for clinical practice. It can be used as a reference for medical personnel, especially Chinese medicine practitioners, and also as a reading material for teachers and students of Chinese medicine colleges and universities, and researchers.
