What are the ways to correct farsightedness

Corrective methods for hyperopia mainly include lens treatment and surgical treatment. I. Lens treatment Convex lenses are needed to correct hyperopia. Mild hyperopia, normal vision and asymptomatic patients do not need lenses. Mild hyperopia, such as visual fatigue and internal strabismus, should be corrected with lenses. Medium and high hyperopia should be corrected with lenses in order to improve visual acuity, relieve visual fatigue and prevent the occurrence of internal strabismus. Surgery 1. Excimer laser refractive keratectomy: The excimer laser is used to cut the peripheral corneal tissue in order to steepen the anterior surface of the cornea and increase the refractive power. This surgery is effective in correcting hyperopia below +6.00D. 2. Intraocular Refractive Surgery: Use of IOL implantation to replace the lens with insufficient refractive power. It is suitable for hyperopic patients who are highly farsighted and not suitable for corneal laser surgery. 3. Corneal Surface Lens Surgery: Using corneal suture from the same donor to the patient’s corneal specimen, suitable for patients with high hyperopia and aphakic eyes that are not suitable for IOL implantation.
